1. Roy – 13th February 20

This movie stars the talented actors Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Sri Lanka’s best gift to India Jacqueline Fernandes. This intense movie is a romantic thriller with Ranbir playing the role of a thief and Arjun a director who is making a movie on him. And as if one Jacqueline was not enough, she plays a double role in it thus increasing the hotness quotient to the maximum. The songs of the movie are just the cherry on the cake. With one million YouTube views on its trailer within 24 hours, this movie is going to make some noise.


Roy2. Badlapur – 20th February 2015

Varun Dhawan comes out of his usual rom-com character and does this intense character for the first time. The movie also stars the all so talented Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a negative character. The movie based in Badlapur is a neo-noir crime drama. Varun (Raghav) witnesses his family being killed in a robbery and years later he finds out who did it and takes revenge. The movie has the gorgeous Yami Gautam in the female lead alongside Huma Qureshi and Divya Dutta in supporting role. Some nice songs and Atif’s come back with “Jeena Jeena” is already making news.



 3. Bombay Velvet – 15th May 2015

Yet another neo-noir drama movie for the year promises some hard hitting intense acting from the likes of Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar in the leads. The film also has Kay Kay Menon, Raveena Tandon and Sidharth Basu in supporting roles. Based on historian Gyan Prakash’s book Mumbai Fables, this story is of a boxer and an aspiring jazz singer and how their lives collide with their individual realities. Kashyap has reportedly taken inspiration from L.A. Quartet, a crime fiction by James Elroy which made him look into the darkness of Mumbai.

 4. Detective Byomkesh Bakshi – 3rd April 2015

The movie shot in the backdrop of World War II, is based on India’s first detective “Byomkesh Bakshi”, a fictional character created by Bengali writer Saradindu Bandyopadhyay. The movie shows the first adventure of Byomkesh Bakshi played by Sushant Singh Rajput, fresh out of college as he fights an evil genius who wants to destroy the world. With Yash Raj’s production and much talked about director Dibakar Banerjee’s direction, this movie will surely catch some attention with picturization of good ol’ Calcutta.

A historical romance between Maratha Peshwa Baji Rao I and his wife Mastani. The movie has Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles, Priyanka playing his first wife and Deepika portraying the role of Mastani. The movie was originally announced in 2003 when Bhansali wanted to cast Salman Khan and Aishwarya as leads but due their much talked about break-up and several other engagements, the movie was shelved. Bhansali as always has paid much attention to the details and actors have gone through extensive trainings for their roles with all actors learning Marathi and Deepika learning Kathak and traditional martial art forms. With such efforts put into a movie, it surely will not go unnoticed.

 6. Wazir – 14th August 2015

Another movie by the famous duo of Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rajkumar Hirani, but this time around it’s an intense action packed thriller. The film has in lead roles the star of the millennium Amitabh Bachchan and multi talented Farhan Akhtar. It is the story of a hard-boiled law enforcement officer played by Farhan opposite the wheel-chair bound chess player played by Big-B. Both the actors have taken quite some training to perfect the role played by them. The movie is an action thriller which also contains a romantic side to it. So its a complete movie which one should not miss.
